Overview
The KPI Detail Page gives a complete view of a Key Performance Indicator — including its current value, historical performance, and setup details.
It allows teams and leaders to review progress, analyze trends, and take action without losing context.
Each KPI opens in a side panel, displaying its chart, updates, comments, and configuration details in one place.
Accessing the KPI Detail Page
The KPI Detail Page can be accessed from two areas in WorkBoard — the Teams Page or My Objectives Page
Selecting a KPI name opens its side panel, where you can view, update, or manage its details.
KPI Header
At the top of the panel, you’ll find the KPI name, the most recent value, and its monitoring mode.
The header also shows when the KPI was last updated and, if thresholds are applied, displays its current status color — green, yellow, or red — to indicate performance health.
KPI Chart
The main chart area visualizes progress over time.
You can adjust the date range and cadence (daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly) to focus on the period that matters most.
Hovering over any data point reveals the exact value and date for that update.
If the KPI is connected to an external data source, updates are applied automatically; for manually entered KPIs, data points reflect owner or co-owner input.
A menu on the top right of the chart provides quick export and download options. You can print the chart or download it as a PNG, JPEG, PDF, SVG, CSV, or XLS file. Threshold colors can also be toggled on or off to simplify the view.
Comments
The comments section below the chart enables collaboration and context sharing.
Team members can add observations or clarify results using the rich text editor for formatting.
All comments remain visible to users with access to the KPI, helping teams keep discussions and insights connected to the data itself.
Available Actions
At the top right of the panel are several key actions:
Update – Add a new KPI value and narrative.
Edit (pencil icon) – Modify KPI details such as cadence, ownership, or visibility.
Copy Link – Generate a shareable link to the KPI.
